Dhobi Ghat is where all the dirty laundry of huge Mumbai, are going. It is located near a train station and looks from above like a small Ghetto. Dhobi Ghat is surrounded by a wall and it is managed by a foundation. In the gate you have to pay entrance and all the money is devoted to the beneficial of the people that wok and live in this place. Dhobi Ghat structure into several areas, which in each one of them there are the small pools filled with water and detergents. Most of the people that work there also leave there in very tiny rooms along the small pool they wash the clothes sheets or what ever there is in that day. these tynu rooms are not moree than 2sqm and when you open the door you can hardly sit inside the room. The kids also help and participate in the work. Young guy is hiding in the steam area so he can call by his mobile to his girl friend, because rarely you can find privacy. Shower after work you can take in the same pool that you washed other people clothes. You put a towel on your body and in front of your colleague you can soap yourself and wash with water.
